Megafauna, 2019

Megafauna is formed from photogrammetric scans of a Clovis point replica. The scanned point files were then digitally fattened, stretched, and conjoined. Clovis points have been found across most of North America and are thought to represent widespread human settlement of the continent. The emergence and dispersal of Clovis point technology roughly coincided with the period of mass extinction of most North American megafauna.

Printed in a pink-ish PLA (Polylactic Acid; a corn-derived bio-plastic).
