Masters of the Universe, 2018

Masters of the Universe started with a composite model of early human (pre-sapiens) skulls that were modified digitally - cropped, chopped, elongated - then printed in thick layers with a flexible grey TPU. The thickness and speed of the extrusion created a knit-like texture and shifts the nature of the object to a textile/vessel hybrid. The name references He-Man's fortress, which was "a beautiful 'Hall of Wisdom,' the 'center of Eternian culture and a storehouse of all knowledge of the universe.'"
